Čeština expres 4 (A2/2) – ENGLISH

Czech Express 4 covers material included in the second half of level A2 and thus builds on the foundations laid by Czech Express 1–3. In seven practically-focused lessons, it teaches Czech learners how to orient themselves in and react to every- day communicative situations (e.g. the topics Shopping, At the government office and bank, Talking about work, Computers and the internet, The school system in the Czech Republic and many more). As in the previous volumes, the textbook introduces its readers to living, authentic language. It does not limit itself to a presentation of grammatical rules and exercises, but rather emphasises practical mastery of the language and systematic development of all language skills. Providing context and personalizing topics is an important component of instruction, strengthening students' communicative, social and cultural proficiency. At the same time the development of linguistic proficiency and language tools are not ignored. Like the previous volumes, the Czech Express 4 set is comprised of a textbook and workbook, which are written in Czech, and an Appendix, which contains vocabulary and detailed grammatical and lexical explanations in English. In the Appendix you can also find a key to exercises and page-by-page and alphabetical glossaries.
